AWES Army Public School Teacher Recruitment Exam 2022: Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has activated the apply online link for the Online Screening Test. Candidates who are willing to appear in AWES OST 2022 can apply for Army Public School Vacancy by 28 February 2022 on its official website awesindia.com.

AWES will conduct the exam for all the registered candidates 19 and 20 February 2022 for which the admit card will be available 10 February 2022. APS Teacher Exam Notification will be uploaded soon on the official website.

It is to be noted that, due to COVID restrictions in any of the affected area candidates can appear through AI Proctored Test from home.

AWES is conducting OST for the recruitment of Primary Trained Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in 137 Army Public Schools (APS) located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India. There are about 8700 teachers in these schools. Many of these reasons lead to a large number of turnovers every year.

Subject: The question paper will be divided into two parts:

Army Public School Teacher Admit Card 2022

AWES will upload the admit card on its website. Candidates can download and print from 10 February 2022.

Army Public School Teacher Result 2022

The result will be declared on 28 February 2022 through online mode. Once the results are removed from the portal, individual score cards/results can be obtained on a special request and on payment of a specific administrative fee.

Army Public School PGT/TGT/PRT Score Card

The score cards of the qualified candidates will be available on the registration portal. The card will be valid for life provided the candidate is in a teaching position in any CBSE recognized school (for a period of at least one year) within 3 years from the date of issue of the score card.

Online applications are invited at the official site of Army Welfare Education Society (http://aps-csb.in):

1. First register by logging into the registration portal by clicking on ‘New Users’ (for those who are registering for the first time). Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and proceed.
2. After that, you need to fill the details related to eligibility for the exam, if you are eligible for the exam then a unique 6 digit password will be generated and shown on your screen and you will also be sent through e-mail and SMS will be sent.
3. If you wish to modify your data, click on the View/Change button. Once you are sure that all the data entered is accurate, you will have to accept a declaration and click on I AGREE.
4. Now, make the payment using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking. Once your payment is done successfully, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and SMS.

What is CGPA?

CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Marks Average. It is the average of the grade marks obtained by a student in all subjects except the sixth additional subject. The grading system employed in the CBSE board exam results to measure the academic achievements of the students is as follows:

As per the CBSE grading system, the minimum qualifying grade for qualifying the board exam is D. Thus, students scoring grades E1 or E2 will have to appear for a re-examination to pass in the failed subjects.

Calculation of CGPA from Grade Points (GPs)

You can easily find out your CGPA from the Subject Grade Marks (GP) obtained in the CBSE Results. Add up the GP obtained in 5 subjects excluding additional subjects. Then, divide the total by 5 to give you the CGPA.

Let’s say you obtained GPs in 5 subjects:

Maths – 9

Science – 8

Social Science – 7.5

English – 9

Hindi – 7

Sum of Grade Points (GP) = 9+8+7.5+9+7 = 40.5

Hence CGPA = 40.5/5 = 8.1

Formula To calculate percentage from CGPA

To calculate percentage from CGPA, you need to multiply CGPA by 9.5.

Why 9.5 What is used in percentage formula in CGPA?

This 9.5 is the average score obtained by CBSE toppers in the previous years. Actually, the board analyzed the results of the last five years and calculated the average marks of all the applicants who scored between 91 and 100. That average turned out to be around 95 points. Since the corresponding grade point for marks is 91-100 (A1 grade) 10, 95 was divided by 10. The final average score then was 9.5.
