KBITS has set up BFC (Biotechnology Facilitation Cell) to help BTFS program progress in the best possible manner. . The head of BFC, Dr. Mittur N Jagadish visited all the 12 BTFS Host Institutions in the 3rd week of June for a review. Feedback obtained from the BTFS Program coordinators for further improvement of the program in each college. Feedback was also given to BTFS faculty coordinators for continuous improvement.
Students of BTFS – Batch I graduated with PG Diploma and a high percentage of them have secured jobs. KBITS- looking forward to the graduation of BTFS-batch II students.
a. Students of BTFS- Batch II are currently undergoing internship training in companies relevant to Biotech domain of their interest.
b. Internship training companies include both Indian multinational / national (such as Biocon, Syngene, Avesthagen, Bhat Biotech, Piramal Life Science, Bioinvid, Skanda Life Sciences, Richcore Life Sciences and so on) as well as foreign multinational companies such as DuPont, Carlsberg, Kemwell, Monsanto, Budweiser, Novozymes and so on.
The process for enrolling students for BTFS- Batch III has begun. Many hundreds have registered and now preparing for the KBAT on-line test on 6th & 7th August. Important dates below:
US-India Chamber of Commerce, NE Florida, USA, and SDI (Scotland Development International) have shown interest in our BTFS Program. Discussions to establish BIOTECH EDUCATION relationship are on-going. Biotech subject domain experts being identified for interaction via video conferencing.
a). KBITS working hard to ensure smooth transfer for student fellowship funds directly to student bank accounts. Some delays have been observed owing to errors in student bank account details. We are seriously in the process of correction. Occasionally there would be some delays students patience very much appreciated. b. KBITS is working closely with DBT, Government of India for sanction of fellowship funds.
